- Hulu has acquired US distribution rights to the Australian crime drama series Harrow.
- All American production team of Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Nkechi Carroll (Bones) are developing a yet untitled series for ABC about a small town in which the entire criminal justice system is run by women of color.
- The Jim Henson Company is developing a live action adaptation of The Witchlands fantasy book series by Susan Dennard.
- Charter is continuing their push into original content by picking up E Is for Edie, a series about a woman who becomes Caretaker to her disabled sister.
- YouTube has picked up Theresa Rebeck's (Smash) next series, It's a Man's World, about the role of women struggling for equality in the gaming industry.
- Superman Actor Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) has landed the lead role of Geralt in Netflix's adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's epic fantasy book series The Witcher.
- Jane Krakowski (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) has been cast in Apple's comedy series Dickinson.
- Timothy Dalton (Chuck) and Alan Tudyk (Firefly) have joined the already impressive cast of DC Universe's Doom Patrol series as The Chief and Mr. Nobody.
- Danika Yarosh (The Miracle Season) is replacing Grace Van Dien as Brooke Osmond for the 3rd season of Greenhouse Academy.
- Dermot Mulroney (Homecoming) joins the cast of ABC's Station 19.
- Richard Gant (The Chi) and Tucker Albrizzi (AP Bio) have been cast in Comedian Gabriel Iglesias' upcoming Netflix comedy Mr. Iglesias.
- Jimmi Simpson (Westworld) has been cast as the younger lead, opposite Sir Ben Kingsley (Sexy Beast) in Epix' Our Lady, LTD. Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) also joins the cast.
- Patricia Arquette (Escape at Dannemora) has been cast as a lead in season 1 of Hulu's True Crime anthology series The Act. Season 1 is based on Michelle Dean's Buzzfeed article Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom To Be Murdered.
- Urkel himself, Jaleel White (Family Matters) to guest star on ABC's Fresh Off the Boat as the manager of a car dealership.
- Shantel VanSanten (Shooter) and Wrenn Schmidt (Outcast) have joined the cast of Ronald D Moore's (Battlestar Galactica) yet untitled science fiction drama series at Apple.
- David Herriman, who will play Charles Manson in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will also play the role in season 2 of Netflix's Mindhunter.
- Blake Jenner (Glee) has joined the cast of Netflix's What/If.
- After 9 seasons of playing the lead role of Fiona Gallagher on Showtime's family dramedy Shameless, Emmy Rossum has announced her departure from the series.
- Len Wiseman (Underworld) to direct the pilot for, and produce, DC Universe's Swamp Thing series.
- The Paramount Network has cancelled American Woman after 1 season.
