• The DOJ has approved Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox's assets.
• France's politically skewed satirical puppet show Les Guignols is being adapted for the US by Fox.
• Netflix has ordered Wu Assassins, a martial arts/fantasy series set in San Fransisco's Chinatown, and starring The Raid 's Iko Uwais.
• Jordan Peele (Get Out) continues to expand his large footprint of upcoming television shows with, Weird City, a science fiction anthology series for YouTube Premium.
• Boardwalk Empire Writer Bash Doran has been picked as Showrunner for HBO and JJ Abram's (LOST) mysterious science fiction drama Demimonde.
• Bryncoed Productions has bought the TV rights to Ian Sansom’s novel, The County Guides To Murder, with Steve Thompson (Sherlock) set to adapt the book to screen.
• The long awaited Halo TV series is officially moving forward at Showtime with Kyle Killen (Mind Games) set as Showrunner and Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) on board to direct multiple episodes.
• Salman Rushdie's acclaimed novel Midnight's Children is being adapted to series at Netflix.
• Amazon has ordered pilots for 3 YA adaptations:   Panic, The Wilds, and College.
• Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino's horror comic book Gideon Falls (Image Comics) is being adapted to series by Hivemind, the production company behind Netflix's upcoming Witcher series.
• Though passed over after the UpFronts by NBC, the Bad Boys spin-off series, LAs Finest, is now moving forward at Spectrum.
• TNT's Snowpiercer series is in trouble, as the pilot's Director Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange) is refusing to return for reshoots ordered by the series new Showrunner Graeme Mason (Orphan Black).  Josh Friedman (The Sarah Connor Chronicles) left his post as Showrunner in January.
• Lionsgate has snagged Dear White People Showrunner Yvette Lee Bowser with an overall deal.
• Segun Akinola (Panorama) has landed the job of the first new composer for Doctor Who in over a decade.
• Jessica Jones herself, Krysten Ritter, will be making her directorial debut in the 3rd season of Jessica Jones.
• Jeremy Irons (Justice League) and Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow) have landed lead roles in HBO and Damon Lindelof's upcoming adaptation of Watchmen.  Also joining the cast are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down), Sara Vickers (The Crown), Frances Fisher (Titanic), and Jacob Ming-Trent (White Famous).
• Danny McBride's (Vice Principals) latest collaboration with HBO, The Righteous Gemstones, will feature himself, his Vice Principals co-star Edi Patterson, and John Goodman (Roseanne) in the story about a TV Evangelist dynasty.
• Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) is in talks for the lead role in the upcoming Netflix series Living With Yourself.
• Toni Collette (About a Boy), Merritt Wever (The Walking Dead), and Kaitlyn Dever (Bad Teacher) have been cast in Netflix's mini-series An Unbelievable Story of Rape.
• Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica) is replacing Anne Son (Wake) in ABC's adaptation of A Million Little Things.
• Beau Bridges (Stargate SG-1) and Philip Baker Hall (Magnolia) cast in recurring roles in the Netflix's drama series Messiah.
• Piper Perabo (Looper) and JJ Feild (Turn) have joined the cast of Idris Elba's (The Wire) upcoming Netflix series Turn Up Charlie.
• Upcoming ABC comedy Steps has had its cast's options extended as the series is being retooled.
• Cancelled: Six at History, Champions at NBC, Ghosted at Fox, Famous in Love at Freeform, and LA Confidential both at CBS and at several alternate options.
• Renewed: TNT has renewed both Animal Kingdom and Claws.
